Do We Really Need A Home Based Business-



In strategic planning they always tell you that you must always have a contingency plan. This means that you must create different probable scenarios of what could happen during the process of your original plan, and create a plan for each probable scenario.

Of course a plan is made because we need to reach a certain objective. Our objective in this case is to generate an income that would enable us live a kind of life that we aspire to live.

Since we do not have any money to start a business on our own and generate that kind of income we revert to the usual plan which is to find a job and then find our way up the organizational hierarchy of the corporate structure. Let us see what probable scenarios can come up here:

1) We are very successful and at the top of our game. We are moving up the corporate ladder and our income is nearing our goals and could very soon surpass it.

This is the most dangerous of all scenarios. It is very hard to cross our mind to take a moment and think what if something went wrong and all this success was taken away.

We all know that corporate life is never safe and anything can happen at any time. Even if we succeeded and were able to become at the top level of an organization,, one day will come that we will have to retire and stay home. What are we going to do then?

2) We are working very hard but for some reason we do not seem to be progressing. What usually happens here is that we start looking for another job that would satisfy our needs and our growth expectations and plans.

We always think that the other job is greener and our chances there for development are greater. When we finally make the move, we realize that we have ran away from the previous problems with the old job, just to realize that we are facing a completely new set of problems with this new job.

3) We feel that our work is not appreciated and there is danger at any time that we might lose the job that is generating an income for us, and we say “an income” because we are still far away from what we aspire to achieve.

The above are not all the life scenarios that exist; as you may have your own established and successful own business which is not home based or online. Still we would say that diversification into Home Based and specifically Online Business is essential. I would only take the factor of the explosion of the internet and the abundant opportunity that exists there and stop the conversation there.

You can think of all the above scenarios either as separate examples or phases of one person’s life cycle. So we need a plan “B,cheap liverpool home shirt,” a contingency plan for these scenarios. Of course we can complicate things further by creating a different set of solution plans for each scenario, but that means that we will have to run into writing a long report of about 100 pages.

So let us look at the different probable solutions we have at hand:

This solution will not cater for the retirement part which involves not having anything to do after you leave work. Still no one can deny that this option could turn out to be extremely rewarding.

2) Always keep yourself in the market so that you can switch jobs at any time. This tactic has many medium and long term disadvantages. But top of mind disadvantages include:

a. Not going anywhere in any organization because you are not giving it enough time.

b. Your chances of finding the next job could gradually diminish as your CV will show the unsteady behavior.

c. You will not concentrate on the job at hand since you are always looking for the better job.

d. And many more disadvantages

3) Have your own business: This option seems very good,, but if we are looking at it in terms of investing a lot of money and borrowing from the bank to be able to operate the business, then this stops being a plan “B.” This means that you are already changing lanes without even signaling. Although it can be rewarding,, but again we have to stress that this is not a contingency plan. This means you are changing your plan.

4) Home Based Business: Now this option is similar to the previous one but with a twist. Because home based business does not require a large investment and does not require your total attention and devotion for it to succeed,west ham everton, you can for sure call it a plan “B” since you are still working at your job. Advantages of this solution:

a. Low and in many cases extremely low initial investment

b. You do not have to work full time

c. Does not require your full attention

d. You can work at your own set hours

All the above advantages could become disadvantages if you don’t take your home business seriously. If you keep postponing things you need to do and making it the least of your priorities then this business will not see the light of day.

A home business is a wonderful thing to have working for you especially when you don’t need it. Because then you will be working relaxed and enjoying what you are building for your future. You will not be stressed out and wanting it to succeed in one month.

With a home based business you have to be patient and consistent and eventually you will achieve your dreams.

Later on Murphy’s law will send in swamps, alligators and snakes in the guise of creditors, repossessions, bosses, spouses etc all threatening awful things will happen if you don’t return right away to the green fields.

Most of the people will have left the jungle by now, never to return. They’ve gone back to the “safe” green fields where all the sheep are stood round cheering them as they return. They shout “See! I told you it wasn’t safe in the jungle… what DID I tell you!”

But you ignore them all and persevere on….

Weeks go by, and the jungle fires more arrows,, tropical storms, swamps and alligators at you, determined to get you out of the jungle. Murphy is doing his best to have YOU ejected!

You are weak, almost ready to give up. You have to drag yourself across a murky swamp,, and through some trees.

However… Just on the other side of the trees is a clearing…. and an unbelievable sight… a huge black stretch limousine is waiting, with a chauffeur greeting you,england football shop, beckoning you to come over.

You rub your eyes and walk over.

You check your bank balance which is well into the millions and you break out in a warm smile.

You have to believe it is possible.

It CAN be achieved… by ANYBODY..

Most of the wealthy people are not over-clever at anything in particular. Rather they are just ordinary men and women who one day had a spark inside them.

Never give up.. your life can change beyond your wildest dreams if you have the courage to keep going when it seems like there is no way forward.

To use or not to use a representative-



When I checked my inbox this morning I found a very important email from an organization of immigration professionals which I belong to.

In fact, this email is so crucial to my ability to practice immigration law that I forwarded it to all of my staff, saved it in our firm’s electronic address book, and printed it for inclusion in the binder that sits on my desk right by my telephone.

Yet, the truth is that this email makes me feel like I am a silent partner in a bit of a deception being perpetrated on the public by CIC. Let me explain.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada clearly takes great public pride in the amount of information and resources it provides to the public through its website and call centre. CIC boasts that “All the forms and information that you need to apply for a visa are available for free on this website”.

Therefore,, it is no wonder that there is an FAQ on the website which asks “Do I need an immigration representative to help me apply?”

The answer given is an uncategorical “No.” The public is told that “The Government of Canada treats everyone equally, whether they use a representative or not”.

Will your case be processed more quickly if you hire a representative? CIC advises that “If you choose to hire a representative, your application will not be given special attention by the immigration officer”.

Is this really true? Is all the information you need really out there? Do you, in fact, need a lawyer? Would it make any difference if you have one? Put another way; are people who are using lawyers and consultants to handle their immigration applications just throwing away their money?

I hate answering these questions since doing other people’s immigration work is how I make my living. People would be justified in being sceptical about my answers to these questions.

But the truth is “all the information you need” is not really out there and,new chelsea shirt, yes,soccer shirts, in many cases a lawyer or consultant’s involvement can spell the difference between success, delay, or abject failure.

The information at www.cic.gc.ca is general in nature and cannot possibly contemplate the infinite factual scenarios that applicants might present when applying. Furthermore, the agents at the call centre cannot and do not provide callers with legal advice. It is simply not in their mandate to do so. Instead, they give “general information on the CIC lines of business…provide case specific information, and accept orders for CIC publications and application kits”. In other words, they can’t tell you what you ‘should’ do when confronted with obstacles or strategic decisions to make.

Also, if you encounter a problem that needs to be escalated, which is not so uncommon, you will find precious little information on the CIC website as to where to direct your complaint or question.

Not so with immigration professionals.

The email I received this morning is an update of CIC’s protocol on how immigration professionals should direct their queries. The correspondence contains the email address for every Canadian visa post overseas and the names and email addresses of the immigration program managers at each of those offices. It tells us how, and to whom, to direct case-specific enquiries to the Case Management Branch in Ottawa and when and how to follow up if we do not receive a timely reply. It provides instructions on how to direct communications relating to quality of service complaints, situations involving possible misconduct or malfeasance of immigration officers, procedures, operational and selection policy, and processing times and levels.

To my knowledge, this information is not shared with members of the public. CIC’s failure to publicise this information does not reflect preferential treatment for those who are represented. Instead, it is simply an acknowledgement that immigration professionals do, and have always, played a vital role in making an overburdened and under-resourced program function at all, if not well. Sharing this information with the public would result in an avalanche of correspondence being directed at senior officials who are spread out so thinly that they could never get any other work done.

It is true that, except in exceptional and deserving cases, hiring a lawyer or consultant can’t get an application moved from the back of the line to the front of the line. Also, an officer will not approve an applicant who is not qualified just because he/she is represented. However,, it is also true that an honest and experienced representative won’t clog up the system by submitting an application that simply won’t fly. Furthermore,, professionals who specialize in this area know the process and know how to avoid errors that cause delays. They know how to sift through mounds of convoluted facts and properly and convincingly document and present the salient ones in order to establish the basis for the approval of the application quickly and efficiently.

CIC doesn’t like to acknowledge the positive role lawyers and consultants play in making its bureaucracy work for the public. It is loath to see us as partners in delivering the immigration plan it is given annually by Canada’s immigration minister of the day.
